Trend Watch: The Love Knots

There's a bumper crop of "inspired by" shoes this season. So if you want the look and don't have $700-$3000 to drop on your fabulous peds, this is your year. I'm excited by so many trends, it's hard to start. So I narrowed it for this installment to what I call The Love Knots (ruched knots.)


The inspiration:

Last season's
Christian Laboutin's Madeline Satin Platform Mules and
Knotted Open-Toe Sandal (pump).

Both have a gorgeous shape, amazing quality, detail, and the ruching cascades down the sides like chocolate luxury. I digress, at $850 and $865 respectively. If you can work it, than by all means do. And since this classic was last season , it may be harder to find.


So alternatively...

Nine West comes in with it's classic satin jewel, Luxious classic and sexy. Awesome for all those floral dresses. $93.00 @Zappos

Steve Madden takes an edgier approach with his Knot-front pump. Metallic or black with rougher seamed ruching, I'd say they're more bittersweet. Stove pipe jeans, footless tights/mini skirt, or pencil skirt would literally rock. $89@Vicki's.
