Big Buys:

Amazon Buys Zappos; The Price is $928m., not $847m. OMG

This Shoe Throwing Is Catching

Funny how the actions of one, can translate into many. In Saint - Lo, France today teachers hurled shoes at police in protest to President Nicolas Sarkozy's high school reforms. The police responded with tear gas. But I love the French, not only fashion dons but the first to adopt the modern trends in protest. Check the whole story. Maybe someone will have some video soon.

The Bush Shoe

How do you go from a sleek Italian sports car to a lame duck president? Give Up? Have an Egyptian journalist throw you at the president at a closed press conference. Yes I'm not kidding. Turns out the pre-hurled shoe was called the Ducati Model 271 and retailed for $40. But post-hurl it has since been renamed the Bush Shoe. And the orders are pouring like lake Pontchartrain post-Katrina. Hopefully the price will stay low. All I know is I want a pair. Check out NYTimes online the whole story.
